I help

organizations find people-centered solutions to business and social problems by using design and innovation methods.

I'm a service designer, innovation strategist, user researcher and product developer with expertise in healthcare and patient experience. My love of innovation has been life-long, beginning with a formal education as a fine arts student, and later, a career as a product developer and educator.

I've implemented over 40 programs and services within healthcare, consumer goods, and/or manufacturing and helped start and set innovation strategy at 4 different organizations to spur growth. I've conducted design research for Optum, UnitedHealthGroup, PepsiCo, Chamberlain, Gap, Hispanic Health Coalition and others, created furniture components for IKEA, conducted usability testing for Fluid Management and Carilion Clinic, taught at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and helped build a 65-person manufacturing facility.

I'm passionate about innovation strategy and planning and  helping companies co-create people-centered products through customer insights, gap analysis, and experience mapping across operations to deliver the value proposition.

Masters of Design Methods from Illinois Institute of Technology Institute of Design, a Masters of Fine Arts from the University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelors of Fine Arts from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

Rebecka helped us learn how to implement across our department. Our leadership always asks us to solve big problems, but we don’t have any experience in implementation.
